Part of the Thames Hotel, a privately owned hotel on the banks of the River Thames which opened in the late 1880s as a getaway for aristocrats, and famously during this period had a proprietor who lost the freehold on the turn of a card.
Times have moved on but the opulent sophistication of the decor of the hotel owes much to The Thames' history, even while Trevi brings something new and special to the mix.
The cornerstone of the restaurant is the massive wood-burning oven which all the handmade pizzas are cooked in to give them that unrivalled taste.
The key element of your dining experience here is the attention to detail. As you peruse the menu you'll be given a dish of fresh olives, warm focaccia, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This helps whet the appetite for what's to come - which is an amazing and tempting choice of antipasti, pizza, pasta and other main course delicacies.
The antipasti is, as you'd expect, phenomenal, with the kind of fresh flavours and high quality yet deceptively simple ingredients and flavours that the best Italian cooking is renowned for, with the creamy buffalo mozzarella proving particularly memorable.
